You re right, I didn t notice that. I examined the manifest and it looks like what they intended to do with that is to force everyone, even those that used incremental, to use the super patcher to update. In other words, this may be the end of incremental updates.

I don t think I ll change TS3PD yet remove incremental. For now, if people install incremental and check for updates again, they ll see the super patcher. It s kind of redundant but that s the way Origin will behave too.

I m going to check Force Super by default.

Okay so I have removed TS3 all expansions from my System and Registry as per EA s instructions. I ve left everything Origin and EADM on my drive and in the Registry alone though.

Is there anything else to do that EA may have forgotten to mention.

Now, there are these still in my Registry:

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Electronic Arts EA Core Installed Games sims3_dd, sims3_ep01, sims3_ep02, sims3_ep03, sims3_ep04, sims3_ep05, sims3_ep06, sims3_ep07, sims3_ep08, sims3_ep09, sims3_ep10, sims3_ep11, sims3_sp01, sims3_sp02, sims3_sp03, sims3_sp04, sims3_sp05, sims3_sp06, sims3_sp07, sims3_sp08, sims3_sp09 Those folders have only REG_SZ entries with language things in them, in my case nl_NL, since I m in Belgium and my language is Dutch. Should I delete all those too before reinstalling the game.

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Electronic Arts Sims 3 Launcher Settings What to do with this.

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SOFTWARE Origin Games In here are some folders made up of some random numbers, which are all empty, folders corresponding to the first 4 EPs and first 3 SPs of TS3, but all those are empty as well, probably because I use the discs versions of all TS3 games, but should I remove these entries.

- HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT Applications Sims3Launcher.exe shell open command What to do with this.

- HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer FileExts. Sims3Pack What to do with this.

Also, should I update Origin to latest version before reinstalling TS3. GuroMoe 8th Jul 2014  PM

I had some problems with launching the game, so I manually uninstalled all the games to reinstall them in the correct order. I now have the base game installed, but now that I patched it to version 1.67, I get an error, telling me to check my log for details, and it says

Every update was rejected because of game region incompatibility. My game was hosed by using Origin s repair option under the direction of tech/phone support from EA. Is there something else I need to do. I have no idea which game region Origin uses, also their version of the game was an earlier version than mine. Should I reinstall all my disks again.

Update I reinstalled my disks and now the Superpatcher installs and three things, the base game, world adventures, and one other needed updating. The last installation had some notice to it, but still appears to have installed.

Thank you for putting this together - it s amazing and makes me wonder yet again why they can t do something like this at EA.
